The main offer of linguistic education for adults is managed by the Xunta de Galicia.
The Escolas Oficiais de Idiomas (public run language schools), that depend on the autonomous Ministry of Education and University Planning, teach Galician at five levels, organized into three cycles: basic (2 years), intermediate (2 years) and advanced (2 years).
Also, the Secretaría Xeral de Política Lingüística (General Secretariat for Language Policy) currently organizes the following courses:
Courses in Galician language. Aimed at the different professional and social groups, and made up of four levels, corresponding to those estabilished in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), developed by the Council of Europe: Celga 1 (level A2), Celga 2 (level B1), Celga 3 (level B2) and Celga 4 (level C1).
Courses in Galician administrative language. Aimed at the personnel of different administration and made up of two levels: intermediate and superior (the latter aimed at the personnel of local and state administrations).
Courses in Galician judicial language. Aimed at the personnel of the justice administration and made up of two levels: intermediate and superior.
Courses in administrative language for the Galician health service. Aimed at the personnel of the health administration and made up of one level: intermediate.
Courses in cultural extension. Aimed at different professional and social group and made up of five modules: current affairs, geography, history, anthropology and language.
Courses in Galician language and culture for under 18s. Aimed at pupils who live or come from outside of Galicia.
The Xunta de Galicia, as a member of the Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE), prepares exam models for the levels A2, B1, B2 and C1, which guarantee international recognition of the certification of knowledge of Galician.
The services of linguistic normalization of the three Galician universities, as well as those of some councils, also organize their own offers of education in Galician, which can be accessed via different notices that these entities usually publish on their website.

During the summer, there is also the possibility of attending the Cursos de Verán de Lingua e Cultura Galegas para Estranxeiros e para Españois de Fóra de Galicia (Summer Courses in Galician Language and Culture for Foreigners and Spaniards from Outside of Galicia).
The General Secretariat for Language Policy has various agreements of collaboration with different universities outside Galicia, with the aim of creating chairs and posts for language assistants that promote and spread Galician in the international sphere. Currently, there are forty-seven centres of Galician studies located at several universities in Europe, America and the Australian Continent.
